THREE Malvern tap dancers got in the groove to raise money for this year's Children in Need appeal.

Twinkle-toed Shirley Dawson, Phil Ironside and Amanda Davies joined school Featbeat Dance, in Hereford, as part of a nationwide world-record breaking attempt.

The Hereford performers joined thousands others nationwide to try and smash the Largest Tap Dance in Multiple Venues award, in aid of the charity.

The Malvern dancers raised £281.64, while the nationwide effort has raised more than £30,000.

They danced for eight minutes and 55 seconds to Uptown Funk, by Bruno Mars.

It is now yet known whether that record has been broken, which stands at 7,506 people.
