PUPILS at an Evesham school decided to do something a little bit different to mark Armistice day this year.
As well as the usual remembrance service, the school decided to form a 'human poppy' with spectacular results.
Assistant headteacher Andy Denton said: "Parents, members of the community, including representatives from the Royal British Legion and the Rotary Club, joined students and staff at the De Montfort School for their Remembrance Service.
"During the service, led by headteacher Mr Guy Nichols, commemorative wreaths were escorted by uniformed cadets and public service volunteers, staff and students formed a human poppy to show their solidarity.
"The service finished poignantly with Head Boy and Head Girl, Finn Vallely and Louise Knight, reading the names of the men of Bengeworth killed in the First World War."
