A SPECIAL service for parents and families who have suffered the loss of a baby will be held at a Worcester church next week.
Anyone who has experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death is invited to the service at St Peter’s Church in Eden Close from 2pm on Saturday, October 10.
Bereaved families at the service, named Not Out of Mind, will be invited to light a candle in memory of their baby.
The non-denominational service has been arranged by bereavement support midwife Trudy Berlet and Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust chaplain Rev Guy Hewlett and is also open to healthcare workers who have been impacted by the loss of a child during their work.
Rev Hewlett said: “We arranged this service to bring families together who have experienced the tragic loss of a baby.
“We know the incredible impact this loss makes on a family.
“This is an opportunity to come together to remember, as well as get some comfort from others who’ve been through the same thing.”
