STAFF at Malvern Hills District Council have been busy baking and selling cakes to raise money for charity.
Employees have raised over £150 for Macmillan Cancer Support by hosting a tea party as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
The annual charity event took place on Friday, September 25, to help raise vital funds for Macmillan, which supports people affected by cancer.
Council chief executive Jack Hegarty said: “Staff really enjoyed being part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. They always make a huge effort, and I am delighted that we have been able to support the vital work that Macmillan Cancer do.”
This is the latest charity fundraiser organised by staff. Employees also took part in Jeans for Genes Day this month to help raise awareness about genetic disorders, raising over £77.
