ATHLETICS hero Steve Cram has pledged the Worcester City 10k will be even bigger and better in 2016.
Thousands of runners took to the city streets on Sunday (September 20), enjoying a vibrant atmosphere and "fantastic" day out.
But now Mr Cram, whose company Events of the North is behind the popular run, has promised next year's race will be even more special.
He said: “It’s been a fantastic day, really building on the success of last year.
"Once again the people of Worcester really got behind the event, with great support on the streets of the city and a real surge in the number of entries.
"Well done to everyone who took part and many thanks to all of the volunteers and spectators who helped make the Worcester City 10K, Run Bike Run duathlon and young athletes run really successful and enjoyable events.
"We’re already looking forward to another even bigger and better Worcester City Run weekend next year.”
