THE occupier of a Malvern flat had to be evacuated after a fire broke out.
Smoke poured out of the flat in Elgar Avenue after the fire was caused by an electrical fault in the kitchen's fridge, confirmed by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
A Malvern fire crew and police officers from Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Teams attended the scene at the ground floor flat around 8.20am on Thursday, September 10.
It was extinguished was extinguished at 8.40am.
A spokesman for Malvern's policing team said: "This is a good reminder to test your smoke alarm and make sure everyone in your household understands how to get out safely in an emergency."
