THE Cube will be the centre of action on Sunday when it hosts the second annual Shuffle community festival.

The first Shuffle, held this time last year, proved to be a great success, attracting some 300 revellers to enjoy a diverse mix of music under a warm September sky.

And organisers at the Albert Road North venue hope to build on last year's success with another eclectic line-up of local musical talent.

Among those who will be deploying their talents at this year's Shuffle are Malvern acoustic soul singer-songwriter Beth Roberts, David Jenkins, whose music is described as Krishna-style indie folk, and Worcester singer-songwriter Kevin Jenkins.

Malvern blues trio Restless Kings, girl vocal group Cruel Sisters, also from Malvern, Stourbridge singer Ben Coleman, folk group the Kitchen Island Band and Beatlesque singer-songwriter Mark Britton complete the line-up.

And DJs from Malvern's independent Carnival Records will be spinning their selections of vinyl.

There will be stalls showcasing the skills of local artists and craftspeople, and the Cube's own Cake Tin cafe will provide sustenance in the form of its tasty vegetarian fare.

Entry is free, and the event runs from noon to 6pm.
