NEARLY 200 intrepid walkers are set to descend on Malvern on Saturday for the Help for Heroes Malvern Hills Challenge.

The fund raising event for the military charity will offer two walks, a long 15km and a short 7km and there are t-shirts, medals and goodie bags included with every entry, which can be made at malvernhillschallenge.org or just turn up at the Malvern Splash Car Park at 9.30am on the day.

Tim Kidwell, Malvern’s Help for Heroes co-ordinator, said: "With the signs and banners up around the town, huge interest on Facebook and Twitter, plus the hard work by Help for Heroes volunteers, we are expecting up to 200 people to take part from all over the country. The fete at the finish in Rosebank Gardens has sold out of pitches with stands from Morgan Cars, Alchemy Chocolates and many, many others. and we are looking forward to a very successful day."

Help for Heroes continues to provide direct practical support for injured, wounded and sick servicemen and women from 92 to 18 years old and to their loved ones. The charity also rund four state of the art UK Recovery Centres releasing the best care, recovery and rehabilitation.
