AN injured cat who escaped from his basket while he was being transported to a veterinary centre for treatment on a broken leg has been found.
Freddie was found last night in a garden near to White House Vets after responding to his owner's whistles.
Sharon Richards and her partner went searching him for once again around 7.30pm. Her partner has whistled to Freddie since he was a kitten.
They heard a feint meow, and so whistled again. Freddie let out a second meow and Sharon knew it was Freddy.
The five year-old black and white cat had escaped after he wriggled out of his basket while being transported from White House Vets to Avenue Veterinary Centre, in Avenue Road.
He is set to undergo surgery this afternoon (Friday, August 28), at the centre in Avenue Road.
