A FUNDRAISER from Malvern will be spellbound as he heads across Europe to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Andrew Harrison, who works at Travis Perkins in Howsell Road, is taking part in a musicals themed car rally to Lake Como in Italy.

The event is organized by Keyline, a subsidiary of Travis Perkins, and 24 cars made up of teams of the company’s staff, suppliers and customers are taking part.

Each team has chosen themes including Chicago, We Will Rock You and Bugsy Malone and Mr Harrison, alongside his co-driver Ray Darby, will be hitting the right note as they dress up as a characters from Wicked.

The rally started on Wednesday (June 24) from Northfleet and after crossing the English Channel at Dover the cars will head through France before journeying all the way towards the beautiful Lake Como.

Kieran Griffin, managing director of Keyline, said: “Keyline has organised an annual car rally to different destinations across Europe since 2010 and this promises to be the best yet.

“During the last five years we have raised an incredible £1 million for Prostate Cancer UK.

“Everybody knows someone, whether a family member or friend who has been affected by cancer, so we look forward to adding to that total as we head to Lake Como.”

Mark Bishop, director of fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, added: “Keyline’s continual commitment and support to the charity has seen them raise a phenomenal amount of money over the last few years.”
