IF it isn't broke, don't fix it, goes the saying. But if it is broke, the good folk at Malvern Hills Repair Cafe may be able to help.

The cafe's volunteers will be coming to Upton next Saturday, July 4. and are looking forward to meeting the challenges that local residents might bring them.

A small team of volunteers will set up shop in the Memorial Hall, Old Street, from 11am to 1pm, offering a range of practical advice and repairs to household and personal possessions. Tool and knife sharpening will also be available and light refreshments will be on sale.

Organiser Jan Dyer said: "This is another of our popular outreach sessions where community representatives have invited us to visit in response to the growing demand for our services.

"Not everyone is able to travel to Malvern Cube, so we are more than happy to consider visiting another venue. All we ask is that one or two local people with good practical DIY skills join our team for the duration of the session as that helps to create a feeling of ownership.

"We have one volunteer repairer from Upton but if anyone else would like to get involved it is not too late to email themalvernhillsrepaircafe@gmail.com or phone 01684 438539. "
