SIXTEEN disabled children and their siblings got the chance to ride and groom horses at a special fun day.

Malvern-based support group, What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful (WMYDMYB) took the children — from Malvern and Worcester — to Stourport Riding Centre for an afternoon of riding skills and activities.

Group founder, Kim Philpotts, said: "It was lovely to see the children having a great time, which helps with their sensory needs as well as their social and communication difficulties and therapy. Children can often feel isolated in the holidays and struggle with no school routine, so our group offers activities so families can enjoy the holidays and be surrounded by families in the same situation.

"The centre is fantastic for children with disabilities, they really knew how to get the children involved, which was fantastic."

WMYDMYB is having a fun day on Saturday at St Mary's Church in Sherrards Green, where families can enjoy crazy golf, a bouncy castle and meet Olaf from Frozen.
