THERE is still time for shoppers and street traders in Wychavon to have their say on proposed changes to guidelines around on-street trading in the district.

The new guidelines, due to come into effect on Tuesday, September 1, mean anyone carrying out street trading in the district will need a special consent from Wychavon District Council.

In preparation for this the council is now seeking views on how applications for consent are made, the documents that will need to be included and how the council will make decisions on them.

Worcestershire Regulatory Service’s senior licensing practitioner David Etheridge said: “We want to hear the views of as many people as possible including those that currently carry out on-street trading activities in the district, as well as the wider public who may be affected by street trading activities taking place in their local area.”

Copies of the draft policy and consultation form are available at www.wychavon.gov.uk/streettrading, the council’s headquarters in Queen Elizabeth Drive, Pershore, or its contact centres in Abbey Road, Evesham, or Victoria Square, Droitwich. Copies are also be requested by calling 01905 822799.

Responses need to be received by Friday, July 31.
