MALVERN Theatre Players are looking for cast members for its forthcoming production of the supernatural thriller Sleep No More.

And the company will be holding auditions on Monday and Thursday at the Coach House Theatre for aspiring actors.

Apart from five adult parts ranging from 20 to 75, they require a boy, acting age 10/11 and a girl acting age 12/13.

The action takes place in a theatre which has been closed for 60 years following a tragic accident and the death of a child during rehearsals for the play Murder by Poison.

Micky, the great-grandson of the theatre's original owner, has set about restoring the theatre to its original glory and he intends re-opening the theatre with a production of the very same play.

Only Micky's elderly father knows the truth about the events years ago and tries to warn him to abandon his plans. Micky however is determined to continue and as rehearsals progress unusual and mysterious occurrences begin to happen with deadly and terrifying consequences.

Gill Young of the players said: "The roles of the young people, Ben and Eva, will require young actors with maturity and confidence, as both are important roles and the script contains macabre elements. Older auditionees for the young people’s parts will be considered, providing they can convincingly look and act the required ages."

The auditions will be at the Coach House Theatre, Grange Road. Young people should attend at 6.30pm, adults at 7.30pm. The production is being staged in September.
