ARMY cadets from across Worcestershire have been recognised for their efforts by the Lord Lieutenant at a celebratory lunch.
Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Holcroft thanked his outgoing cadets for their service and appointed new cadets for the coming year.
From the Army Cadet Force, Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major Piers Drinkall, aged 18, from Malvern was presented with a certificate to commemorate his year in the role.
Cadet Sergeant Charlotte Callaghan, aged 17, from Rubery, was presented with her new badges of office.
Ken Tallis, chairman of the Hereford and Worcester Army Cadet Force Charitable Trust, praised the cadets for their contributions and adult instructors for their leadership.
Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Stephens, a former Worcestershire cadet and now college commander at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, was guest speaker.
Cadet commandant, Colonel Andy Taylor said: "The appointment of Lord Lieutenant’s cadets recognises their contributions to our community.
"The Army Cadet Force is about fun, friendship, action and adventure.
"We help young people from every walk of life to unlock their talents and shape their own futures."
