SELF-TAUGHT designer Katie Alice will showcase some of her pretty English country garden tableware and accessories for the first time at the Malvern Spring Festival this year.

In just five years since establishing her business in Northamptonshire, she has created 10 collections which combine her love of vintage styles and finds with the traditional style country garden.

Her English Garden range pays tribute to the designer’s feelings of comfort and inspiration she gains from her own garden.

With fresh, spring-like and crisp white porcelain, sprawling florals and wildlife, this English Garden range bursts with a pride that Katie Alice has in her love of a real English Country garden.

Katie says: “I love spending time in my garden and it really has been my muse for most of my collections. This one is certainly the most inspired by it and I felt I wanted to truly honour that by giving it the name, English Garden.”

Katie coupled her trademark ditsy polka dots with a dusky shade of blue that was inspired by her adored delphiniums to sit across a wide range of bright and happy kitchen and tea party wares. This large collection includes dinnerware, pans, utensils and kitchen textiles amongst other things.

The Rustic Lace items have been produced to complement the current and future Katie Alice ranges. The Katie Alice Core Collection introduces home décor pieces in a fresh and subtle colour palette alongside the new Rustic Lace terracotta dinnerware.

Inspired by a vintage lace bracelet that Katie found in a boutique in Paris, this core range encourages customers to buy beautiful individual pieces, without the need to buy a whole new collection each season.

Katie says: “I’ve always loved the effect of seeing a darker base colour come through a pattern when you use a fresh white glaze, so the opportunity to use embossed terracotta was quite exciting and I think it translates really well onto the new white dinnerware and home décor pieces for this collection.”

Further new additions to The Katie Alice Core Collection are vintage inspired photo frames in retro shades of cream, pink and grey.

The Bird Song range brings flora and fauna in a delightful retro colour palette to the collections. The design sees two pretty little birds chattering away on their perch in a land of 50s floral nostalgia. One of the newer designs from Katie Alice, this is a strong contender for Katie's personal favourite.

Katie says: “Watching birds tweeting away in spring time is one of my favourite things to do, so to be able to capture that and put it on a teapot has been a dream come true.”

Particular stand out pieces are the brand new tea-for-one set and the lovely teapot.

Katie Alice is giving customers a chance to win a hamper of Katie Alice goodies at the Malvern Spring Festival. Anyone who visits the stand (M125) at the show and provides their email address to be in
