HUNDREDS of people flocked to a pub's reopening night after it was temporarily closed for refurbishment.
More than 400 people saw the doors of The Swan Inn open for business once again, following a two week closure while refurbishments costing £262, 000 could be carried out.
The make-over, funded in partnership with Punch Taverns which owns the premises, has resulted in redecoration, a new layout to provide zones for different purposes, new furnishings and a real log fire. There is now a new oak conservatory at the pub, and its five lettings rooms have also been updated.
Barney Reynolds, landlord of the Hanley Swan pub, said: "I’m aiming to create a really special pub for the village, complete with good food, served in a relaxed setting."
The pub was reopened on Thursday, April 23, by Malvern mayor Julian Roskams.
