THE Morgan Motor Company raised more than £1,000 for the new Worcester Oncology Unit by hosting an event for a huge online community.

Hundreds of members from the community Pistonheads were invited to the Malvern factory for a Sunday Service which was packed with events.

There were tours of the factory, an insight into how the cars are built and charity drives on offer which raised £1,600 for the oncology unit, after more than 200 signed up for a spin.

A range of stunning vehicles were also on display from 1980s Porches, the latest supercars and Morgan's new Aero 8 was on public display for the first time, since it was launched at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.

Visitors also had an added treat, as Ian Cook, of PopbangColour, who paints cars using remote controls was working on his latest masterpiece too.

Steve Morris, managing director of Morgan, said: "We always enjoy hosting passionate enthusiasts such as the PistonHeads community and I would like to thank all those that attended for their generosity and for helping to make the day a success.

"Thank you to all those that donated, we look forward to welcoming you all back again soon."
