A CARE home in Malvern has been rated 'good' by inspectors across five essential care criteria.

Dalvington and The Oaks, of Lower Howsell Road, which caters for up to15 people with learning or physical disabilities, was visited by the Care Quality Commission in December and a report was published on Tuesday, March 17.

The home failed to meet standards of care and welfare during a previous inspection, but the regulator found "improvements to keep people safe had been made".

Inspectors praised the centre for ensuring people "felt safe" and were "treated with dignity and respect".

Staff were recognised for being "kind and caring and thoughtful towards people" and "knowledgeable about how to manage people's individual risks" while the registered manager was celebrated for "promoting a positive culture that was inclusive".
