WEST Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin paid a visit to a well known pub which is now under new management and has been subject to a revamp.

The MP popped along to the Plough and Harrow, in Guarlford, to visit Ellie Butler who took over the pub late last year, to sample the food of her son Dave who is head chef.

The team also boasts Ellie’s sister and daughter helping out at the new venture, which has been refurbished to attract new customers including Malvern shoppers and people dining before visiting Malvern Theatre.

MP Baldwin said: “It is wonderful to see this family-owned pub in its newly renovated state. Jim and I enjoyed a delicious meal and I can thoroughly recommend the pub.”

“Tourism is one of the most important sectors in our local economy and it is important that we all work together to make Malvern a more popular destination, both for day-trippers and also those who want to enjoy our arts and scenery.

“I wish Ellie and the team all the best and hope to see them thriving in the coming months and years.”

The Plough and Harrow has welcomed celebrity guests too, including Television and film star Robert Powell.
