ONE man was arrested and two others were injured during a night of disorder in Worcester city centre.

Police were called to Angel Place at 2.30am in the early hours of this morning after a man was hit over the head with a beer bottle.

According to the police press office, an 18-year-old man from Worcester received a slight injury to his head and he was treated on scene by paramedics.

No one has been arrested in connection with this incident and there are no descriptions of suspects available.

At around 4am a 20-year-old man from Stourbridge was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly also in Angel Place and he was issued a penalty notice.

At 4.40am police assisted a man who had been allegedly attacked on Foregate Street by a group of between eight to ten men.

The man was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for treatment but the extent of his injuries are not known.
