VOLUNTEERS are needed to help out with hospital inspections in Herefordshire.
The Patient Led Assessment of the Care Environment – or PLACE – programme assesses the cleanliness of hospitals, the privacy afforded to patients and the general upkeep of buildings as well as the quality of food.
The group organising the inspections in Herefordshire needs more people who have first-hand experience of the hospitals to volunteer to take part in the scheme.
The unannounced visits are due to take place soon and results are made publicly available.
Current staff or those who have worked for the hospital in the past two years are not eligible to take part.
