POLICE have not yet taken a decision on whether they will investigate allegations against Malvern Hills leader David Hughes.
The complaint against Cllr Hughes was made by the Alfrick and Lulsley Residents' Group, and arises from a row about a planning application on land owned by the councillor.
This week, a police spokesman said that an inspector has conducted a review of the information passed to police by the residents' group, who will determine if a police investigation is going to be launched.
Meanwhile the controversial application at the centre of the row will be coming up before councillors next Thursday (February 5).
The application, to build 21 homes at Clay Green Farm, Folly Road, Alfrick, is on the agenda at the meeting of the planning committee, with planning officers recommending approval.
It had previously appeared on the agenda of a meeting on January 7, but had been adjourned after Cllr Paul Swinburn, the council's deputy leader, proposed that the plan is referred to the full planning committee, to be considered by members drawn from the whole area of the council, and members voted to agree.
The meeting is at 6.30pm at the Council Chamber, Avenue Road.
