TWO men have been arrested following a police pursuit in Evesham which ended in a crash.

The crash happened in Avon Street, Evesham in the early hours of this morning.

A police spokesman said the vehicle, a red Suzuki estate, was suspected of speeding but failed to pull over and a pursuit began. The car being pursued then crashed into two parked cars.

A Nissan Micra and and an Alfa Romeo were damaged in the collision which police said happened between 12.45am and 12.51am this morning.

A 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and criminal damage and the 18-year-old passenger on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug of class B (cannabis).

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "There had been a police pursuit. Officers began to follow the Suzuki because of the speed it was being driven at. They have gone to pull the vehicle over but it has continued."

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue service also attended the scene.
