A MALVERN mum has come up with an innovative scheme to reunite lost teddy bears with their little owners,

Tag A Teddy was founded just six months ago by Jade Ecclestone of Pound Bank Road.

She got the idea after her youngest son Bradley, now four, lost his much-loved teddy bear Bramble and was totally inconsolable.

Miss Ecclestone, aged 28, a mum of three, realised this was a common problem, so after 18 months of research and testing, the Tag A Teddy smart ID tag was invented, the first product of its kind to safeguard children’s most treasured possessions.

Parents can send away for the tag, which is attached to their child's favourite bear, and they can then register contact details securely with Tag A Teddy.

If the loved toy is lost, the finder can return it by scanning a QR code on the tag with a smartphone, or calling the Tag A Teddy helpline, whose number is also on the tag,

He business inspiration has now won an accolade from Dragon's Den star Theo Paphitis and another from Ann Summers owner Jacqueline Gold.
