MALVERN residents woke up this morning to find the hills dusted in snow for the second time this week.
Roofs and pavements in Great Malvern town centre and other parts high on the side of the hills were covered in a sprinkling of snow, but lower down, the early-morning snowfall had generally failed to settle.
Police are warning that roads can be icy and recommend that drivers should keep their speeds down and leave more than the normal two-second gap between themselves and the car in front.
This morning's Met Office forecast for the West Midlands tells us that today will be another cold day for all areas with sunny spells for many and isolated wintry showers, mainly in the northwest, which may fall as snow, especially over the hills. Maximum temperature 5C.
Tonight is set to be a cold night with clear spells and isolated wintry showers, bringing further snow over some hills. Cloudier in the south with maybe some light rain or snow for a time. Minimum temperature -3C.
Sunday will be cold and generally dry with variable cloud and sunny spells. A widespread frost will quickly form after dusk in clear skies and light winds. Maximum temperature 5C.
