WORCESTERSHIRE Young Archaeologists Club is looking for new members.

The club, which has run for more than decade, is for youngsters aged eight to 16 who are interested in discovering the past.

Members will have the chance to take part in trips, go on guided family walks, learn from real archaeologists and have a go at digging trenches.

The first meeting of the year is in Worcester on Sunday January, 25.

Leader Sheena Payne-Lunn said: "This is a great chance for young people interested in the past to get involved and have a go at lots of activities you wouldn't normally get to try.

"With the help of archaeologists and historians there's a great opportunity to have fun, make friends and learn new skills."

Membership is £9 a year, including a t-shirt, and monthly meetings are usually £1.

For more details email wyaclub@gmail.com, ring Mrs Payne-Lunn on 01905 721 133, or search the club on Facebook.
