FANS enjoying the World Cup are being asked to get behind recycling - as well as their team - during National Recycle Week (June 16 to 22).
People enjoying a drink or two during games are being asked to think about what happens next to the can or bottle as the county tries to improve its recycling habits.
Already 44 per cent of household waste is already diverted away from from landfill.
Councillor Anthony Blagg, cabinet member for Environment and Waste, said: "Recycling rates in Worcestershire are already very good, but we think Worcestershire can do even better and recycle even more.
"Recycle week is a fantastic way of reminding residents what can now be recycled in Worcestershire and to thank people for all their efforts."
