TWO drivers who may have been witnesses to the repercussions of a sexual assault that happened in Evesham in 2012 are being sought by police.
Recently, a girl in her early teens reported to police that she was subjected to a sexual assault in the Church Street area of Evesham in November 2012, some time between 11pm and 1am.
She told detectives she walked towards Offenham after the assault and two drivers stopped to ask if she required any help.
One was a taxi driver and the other a man driving a white van.
Detective Constable Donna Perry said: “Some time after this offence happened, the young girl came forward and told police about what happened to her.
“We are now trying to piece together all the evidence we can and would like to trace these two drivers. Although it is more than a year ago, I am hoping they will remember stopping to offer help to a distressed girl walking along Offenham Road late at night.
"If that was you, please contact West Mercia Police.”
Anyone with information should call DC Perry, quoting incident number 343s 09/12/13, on the non-emergency number 101.
