AN award winning garden designer is preparing to show off her work at the world's most famous flower show.
Olivia Kirk, from Worcester, will design her third garden at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show in May.
Her work will be carried out in partnership with the charity WellChild which works to improve the lives of seriously ill children and their families all over the UK through care, support and research.
The garden will provide an enclosed central oasis representing the care and support families receive from the charity.
From this space, five paths lead on a "journey of exploration".
The paths represent the fingers on the hand in the charity's logo with the voids between the fingers providing space for raised beds, planted to appeal to all five senses.
Her design will also feature the work of local artists Caro Sweet and Victoria Westaway, who are currently preparing their work for the show.
In 2011, Ms Kirk won a Gold medal prize at Chelsea for her entry called The Power of Nature Garden.
She specialises in creating healing gardens and has worked for a large number of hospices including Worcester-based St Richard’s Hospice.
