A HOUSE was raided in the police's ongoing battle to combat drug offences in the Pickersleigh ward.
Officers from West Mercia Police swooped on a property in Dyson Drive, off Moatway, Pound Bank, Malvern, and seized a small amount of cannabis and a quantity of 'hash cake' during the execution of a warrant at 9am today (Wednesday).
However, the 41-year-old man did not receive any formal sanction from the force.
PC Dave Wise, of the Pickersleigh Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "Local residents have raised concerns about prevalence of drugs in the area and although drug offences are not above average we want to continue to send the message that supply and possession of class A and class B drugs is not tolerated in Malvern and specifically on Pickersleigh."
PC Wise added: T"here was no evidence of supply offences and the offender will be dealt with informally but this should make it clear that we will not tolerate any level of drug offending."
This incident follows the discovery and closure of a crack house in a Pickersleigh Grove property in December - it was the first such closure in the Malvern Hills District.
The Pickersleigh Safer Neighbourhood Team is keen to hear from any residents with information on drug dealing who can call them via the non-emergency number 101.
