AROUND 60 people went to a public meeting about a busy Powick junction.
The meeting at Powick parish hall was called to discuss alterations to the junction of Sparrowhall Lane and the A449 opposite the junction to Bastonford.
As previously reported, outline planning permission was recently given for 39 new homes to be built on land off Sparrowhall Lane.
A condition of the planning permission was that a way could be found to improve the junction without preventing a right-hand turn towards Malvern onto the A449.
Developers had initially suggested changing the junction, which is an accident hotspot, to ban drivers from turning right.
At the meeting, a small committee was formed which was made up of residents from Bowling Green Road, Sparrowhall Lane, The Drive and Bastonford, who will look at ways forward.
Councillor Tom Wells chaired the meeting on Friday, January 17.
