A MAN who survived a rare brain tumour and defied doctors by going on to have a baby is gearing for the Three Peaks Challenge.

Ben Lindon, aged 34, of West Malvern Road, who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in 2008, is taking on Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon this weekend to raise money for Brain Tumour Research.

The tree surgeon will be joined by three doctors, Paul Daniel, Tim Marshall and David Williams from Shipston Medical Centre in the Cotswolds for the challenge, which starts tomorrow. He said: “I thought I would like to take all the negativity and stress of having a brain tumour and all the pressure and turn it into good energy.”

Mr Lindon defied the odds by naturally fathering a girl. He said that baby Martha, right, has just celebrated her first birthday and is doing really well. To sponsor Mr Lindon visit justgiving.com/BenLindon.
