AT last, the huge chunks of snow at the top of the ridge near Tattersalls have almost melted.
Several vehicles came to a grinding halt there in the recent cold Easter weather and some lucky drivers were able to turn around and look for an alternative route to the village.
There is now a brand new horizontal cement slab in front of the village notice board near the Farmers Arms, so reading the board no longer requires navigating the mud.
The Garden Club would like to thank Western Power Distributors for donating replacement daffodils bulbs for those dislodged when new underground cables were inserted in and around Church Lane.
The bulbs have already been replanted and we look forward to a rewarding display.
This month’s film is the Woody Allen clasic Annie Hall, made in 1977.
It is a romantic comedy about a New York comedian and his neurotic girlfriend. Come along on Tuesday evening to the Memorial Hall for an 8pm start.
On Thursday, the walking group will be doing a short circuit in the Canon Frome area, weather permitting.
