THE annual parish meeting on Monday was informative for those who wanted to keep abreast of village news and views.

Nathan Burlton explained how the Colwall and Malvern Car Clubs worked and how such a car sharing scheme could be developed in West Malvern.

The Outdoor Education Centre, soon to be renamed Malvern Outdoor Elements when it becomes an independent not for profit organisation, was the subject of the second talk.

It is hoped that the centre will be transferred to the new company by the county council on June 1.

There is to be a meeting at the Regents Shop Cafe tomorrow (Saturday), at 11.30am to set up a steering committee – please attend if you are interested in the future of the centre.

We are asked to make sure that the recently delivered wheelie bins are kept within our boundaries and not on the pavement where they can be a hazard to pedestrians.

Volunteers are needed to help manage the community woodland.

Please contact the parish clerk on 01684 573213.

A new path is being cleared down to the playing fields so that during West Fest cars may be kept separate from pedestrians and in the play area the see-saw has been replaced and the swings have new seats.

Susan Russell will be giving an illustrated talk on Perfume in the Garden at the Garden and Nature Club meeting in the village hall on Tuesday at 7.30pm.
