BARNARDS Green Traders were delighted to invite Malvern mayor, Cllr Cynthia Palmer, to present the prizes to the winners of the Garden-on-a-Plate competition, which the traders ran in support of this years Malvern in Bloom entry.
The lucky winners were Ben Jordan from St Joseph's Primary School, Newtown Road, and Mia Wilkinson from Malvern Nursery. Each winner won £25 for themselves and £50 for their school or playgroup.
Cllr Palmer said how impressed she had been with the quality and variety of entries and she praised both children for their creativity and hard work.
Traders Jane Knowles, of Just So, and Jenny Cain, of Barnards Green Post Office, thanked the mayor and Malvern Town Council for their support of the competition.
The winning plates were shown to the Royal Horticultural Society's judges when they visited the town as part of the Hear of England in Bloom competition.
