Revd John Barr will be the next Chair of the World Church Links Group in the Diocese of Worcester .
Mr Barr, who is the vicar of Great Malvern Priory, said: "During my time in Malvern, I have come to value the many mission partnership links the Priory has had with churches and individuals in different parts of the world - including those in Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan, India, Sabah, Kenya, and Australia.
"It has also been a real joy to share in our two church links with Pamplona Baja in Peru and Wolmirstedt in Germany, links that were organised through the Diocesan World Church Links Group."
He added: "As the current Chair of Churches Together in Malvern, I am also aware of the importance of the ecumenical dimension of mission partnerships, whether expressed locally or through wider links with the World Church."
Mr Barr takes over the chairmanship from Canon John Green.
