WOLVES' BBL Championship clash with Bristol Flyers is set to go ahead in flood-hit Worcester tomorrow night (7.30pm).

Matt Newby's side will look for another victory over Flyers after beating their M5 rivals 67-59 in the BBL Cup final at Arena Birmingham in January.

And the University of Worcester Arena, Hylton Road, is to host the clash as planned despite the chaos caused by the River Severn bursting its banks.

A Wolves statement said: "Tomorrow night's game against Bristol Flyers is to go ahead as planned.

"The players have battled against the floods all week to continue training at the arena.

"Come rain, shine, floods and even a few snowflakes the team have been tireless in their preparations and are ready to go all out tomorrow night!"

Wolves say access to the arena will be from Henwick Road via St John's and Hallow.

They add parking will be available at the arena by proceeding down Hylton Road where there will be parking attendants.

And Wolves say pedestrian access is via Hylton Road and Hardwicke Close.

Since losing to Worcester in the cup final Flyers have suffered a difficult few weeks.

The runners-up have picked up two losses in the championship and also been knocked out of the BBL Trophy.

Wolves thrashed Plymouth Raiders 116-91 at home on Valentine’s Day before a weekend off from action.
