HOOKER Jack Singleton will leave Worcester Warriors at the end of the season to re-join reigning Gallagher Premiership champions Saracens.

The Hertfordshire-born 22-year-old was previously part of Sarries’ youth set-up, progressing from the under 16s right up to becoming captain of the under 18s and said his return this summer would be a “homecoming”.

He joined Warriors’ senior academy in 2014-15 season before making his first-team debut in October 2016.

Since then Singleton has become a regular at Sixways, making 64 appearances in the front row, 19 of those coming this season.

He also toured Argentina with England in the summer of 2017.

“I’d like to thank Worcester for an incredible five years,” Singleton said.

“They gave me the chance to progress as a player and have helped me develop immensely in that period. I’m extremely grateful to them.

“I’m very excited to sign for Saracens.

“It’s a homecoming for me - I came through the academy and it’s the club I supported from a young age and used to watch regularly.”

Warriors director of rugby Alan Solomons said: “From the time I arrived at Sixways, Jack has been an integral part of the Warriors team.

“He is an outstanding young hooker, who has shown good leadership qualities.

“We are really sorry that he will be leaving us, but understand his desire to go home. We wish him all the very best for the future.”
