WORCESTER Warriors wing Bryce Heem reckons England and Harlequins star Mike Brown will have his “hands full” when they clash in tonight’s tussle at Sixways (7.45pm).

Quins have been boosted by the availability of Brown for their Gallagher Premiership fixtures in November after the “classy” full-back was dropped by England.

The 33-year-old has been a regular on the international scene for the past decade, chalking up 72 caps, and remains one of Quins’ most threatening backs.

But Heem, 29, is also dangerous with ball in hand and the Kiwi has fired a warning shot to Brown ahead of this evening’s showdown.

“It’s good for Quins to have those sorts of players in their back-line,” Heem said.

“For me no matter who I am playing against it is about having confidence in myself.

“Yes, he is a classy player, but he’s going to have his hands full as well.

“I do enjoy playing those experienced, well-known players.

“I look forward to the challenges and competing against them.”

Heem also identified “sneaky” scrum-half Danny Care as a player Warriors and referee Andrew Jackson have got to keep a close eye on when he comes onto the field.

Care, 31, has been named on the bench against Warriors after missing out on a place in England’s side to face Australia at Twickenham tomorrow (3pm).

“He is obviously a massive threat, especially around the breakdown,” Heem said.

“He is a classy, running nine.

“You can’t really give him a sniff. We have got to be alert and watch him at all times.

“He can be quite sneaky as well. They’ll get a penalty advantage, he’ll knock on and do a quick tap so we have got to be on to the refs about that.

“We need to alert the ref to the fact that he might do that as he got away with it the last time they played us at home.”

Quins have climbed to fifth position after last weekend’s 20-7 home triumph over Newcastle Falcons are a five points clear of ninth-placed Worcester.

“Every game in this Premiership is tough and it will be no different against Quins,” Heem said.

“They are a strong side.

“They pride themselves on their defence as well and want to get into your face and be quite physical.

“But it is about focusing on what we bring to the game and match their physicality.”

Worcester slumped to a 28-13 defeat at Bath last Saturday but Heem insisted it was important his side did not dwell on that performance.

The New Zealander is also looking forward to playing under the lights at Sixways for only the second time this term after their midday battle at The Rec.

“Night games are a little bit different to playing at midday on a Saturday,” Heem said.

“You get more of a sleep in and more of a weekend which is quite nice.

“But as a rugby player you have got to roll with the punches.”

Speaking to The Worcester News earlier this month Heem whose deal runs out next summer said he had “not really talked to anyone yet” at the club over his future.

When asked whether there had been any movement on the contract front, Heem added: “There is no change there.

“I am just enjoying my rugby and all those things will fall into place.”
