Malvern Town's winless run in the league came to an end last weekend as the 10-men battled to a crucial three points away at high-flying Bradford Town

The Hillsiders have been in a horrible run of form of late and after four straight defeats in the Hellenic League Premier, goals in the final ten minutes from Joe Bullock and Kyonn Evans stopped the rut at second-placed Bradford despite a sin bin for James Timmins with 15 to play.

The slump in form had seen Malvern slip from the play-off places down to ninth in the league standings but the 2-0 win should reignite their play-off push.

They stay in ninth but are just six points off second placed Bradford, with plenty of teams between them having played differing amounts of games.

It had looked a tall order ahead of kick-off with recent form suggesting a home win but Malvern held their own.

Timmins was sin-binned with 75 minutes on the clock but as time ticked down, a deflected strike from Bullock fizzed into the back of the net.

And then one became two with 88 on the clock as Matt Turner teed up Evans for the winner.
