Andoversford 4, Hanley Swan 5.

HANLEY Swan took the spoils in a nine-goal thriller at Andoversford in Cheltenham League Division Three.

The visitors lacked composure in the opening stages and gifted the home side a goal after 10 minutes.

However, Hanley equalised following a good passing move finished by Cathal McTernan.

The game flowed from end-to-end and Andoversford broke well to make it 2-1 at the break.

Hanley opened the second-half with a better tempo and it was not long before Jon Palmer equalised.

Within the space of a few minutes two goals from Andy Rogers gave Hanley a 4-2 advantage.

Against the run of play, the home side forced a great save from Andy Smith.

Hanley responded well and a second goal from McTernan gave Hanley a 5-2 lead.

Two late goals for the home side made the final few minutes tense for Hanley, but they held on.
