DRESSAGE rider Zoe Sleigh has been awarded a Talented Athlete Scholarship to help her towards the 2012 Olympics.
Zoe, aged 17, from Leigh Sinton, was nominated for the Government award through the British Equestrian Federation.
It is thought that she and her four year old horse Fantastic Light are good enough to make it to London in six years' time.
"It's going to take lots of work," she said.
The scholarships are given to young athletes aged 18 to 25 in full time education. In Zoe's case it will cover the cost of services such as horse physiotherapists and nutritionalists.
Zoe, a Malvern College pupil, said the thing she enjoys most about dressage is training horses.
She has been competing for about eight years and was selected for the International Pony Teams under 16 competition.
This year she was selected for the under 18 competition, but her horse fell lame.
