Gornal Athletic 5, Bromyard Town 0.
BROMYARD Town once again paid the price for fielding another depleted line-up in this West Midlands League Premier Division encounter.
Without a regular keeper and with several key players missing, the visitors slumped to 3-0 down at the interval after a poor first 45 minutes.
After the break and with some reorganisation, Bromyard looked a different team and for the next 30 minutes had the better of the play.
Nick O’Connell fired just wide with a terrific shot on the hour.
Then, 10 minutes later, Will Tolley forced a finger-tip save from Gornal’s keeper. Unfortunately with 10 minutes left and no substitutions remaining, Bromyard conceded two further goals leaving them at the foot of the table after Wolves SC picked up valuable points at Stafford.
Bromyard Town’s West Midlands League Cup second round tie at Shifnal Town on Tuesday was postponed due to a break in at the ground.
