MALVERN RFC were chosen to host two training sessions for the French u20 squad, who take on their England counterparts at Sixways tonight.

There are two sessions, the first was held yesterday morning, with a pre-match session held today between 10.15am and 11.15am.

Malvern’s director of rugby David Robins said: “We see it as a great honour that we have been asked to host the French.

“We hosted Montpelier a couple of years ago when they played Worcester in a European Challenge Cup match and we are delighted that we have been called on once more.

“We certainly have some of the best facilities at our level in the Midlands and have long-term plans for more development of the playing site, so hope that this trend continues.”

But Robins has turned his attentions to tomorrow’s Midlands One home clash with third-placed Peterborough (ko 3pm).

Chris Smith replaced James Hynes at second row and Tom Beechey makes way for Ryan Henshaw on the wing.
