Moeen Ali has been named in England’s squad for the five International Twenty20 matches against India next month.

The Worcestershire CCC all-rounder is part of a 16 strong squad which will do battle in five matches in the space of nine days.

All of the games will take place at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Worcestershire Rapids Vitality Blast captain Moeen is already in India with England as part of their squad for the opening two Tests.

His last IT20 appearance – and his 34th for his country – was against Australia at the Ageas Bowl last September.

The touring party will depart on Friday, February 26 with the squad for the three One-Day internationals, which follow the IT20 Series, to be announced in due course.
