Lee Harman continued his winning streak from the Malvern Anglers’ winter league into the first of the spring contests on Sycamore pool at Broadheath Fisheries.

On a showery, cool day, fishing on the normally prolific venue was disappointing as most anglers struggled to get bites.

The results were dominated by a few good-sized carp and Harman caught four on sweetcorn bait to win with just 19lb 9oz.

Dave Stretton got carp on luncheon meat to finish second with 17-3 while Nigel Bayliss had three to claim third with 14-14.

Paul Lane managed 12-15, Mick Cluley 11-14, Ken Yates 10-8, Clive Harman 8-1, Frank Edwards 6-9, Neil Gardiner 5-1 and Dick Oakley 1-13.
