MORGAN Skidmore was handed another Malvern first-team opportunity as a second-half substitute during Saturday’s 7-1 victory over Bourton Rovers.
Having joined the club earlier in the season the talented, versatile youngster has made quick progress over five months.
He has put in assured displays for the under 18s and reserves as well as starting to make a first-team impact.
“It’s hard to describe in words how pleased I am with the progress that I have made,” he said.
“It has come from the great coaching staff and the players through all the teams whose support is amazing.
“From playing Sunday league football to being involved with the under 18s and reserves here and then getting game time with the first team, it has all happened so quickly.
“I love playing for this club. It’s the best decision I ever made moving here. It’s such an all-round welcoming club with so much potential for the future which I hope to be part of.
“We’re lucky with the facilities that we have at our disposal here and there’s a really positive vibe running throughout the whole club.
“Getting my chance in the first team has only made me even hungrier to succeed. To step out in front of over 200 people fills you with so much pride.”
