MALVERN ace Evie Richards secured an emphatic women's victory in the Shimano Lazer West Midlands Cyclo-Cross League's round 10.

The Valley, Evesham, hosted the event organised by Royal Leamington Spa CC in conjunction with the Boardman Performance Centre.

The course was a mixture of muddy grassy terrain, a tough climb and a wooded section.

Richards won comfortably earlier in the month near Malvern and the 2018 Commonwealth Games cross-country silver medallist triumphed again in similar fashion.

The Trek Factory Racing rider, who finished third in the Waterloo round of the World Cup earlier in the season, was more than three minutes ahead of her rivals.

Veteran Tracy Moseley, of T-MO Racing, chased her Malvern counterpart in second place.

Consistency paid off for Harry Cockroft, of Malvern Cycle Sport, who took his second win of the series in the boys' under 16s event ahead of Sullivan Berry from Redditch Road and Path CC.

Under 14s lead rider Hannah Cockroft, also of Malvern Cycle Sport, was second in the youth girls' category behind Mid Shropshire's Daphne Jones.
