MALVERN Town Reserves marked their first home game at the redeveloped HDanywhere Community Stadium with a commanding 4-0 victory over basement boys Bartestree.

Will Saunders headed in the opener from close range on the quarter-hour mark in the midweek Herefordshire FA League Premier Division clash.

Tom Emblem finished off a six-man move to make it 2-0 at half-time.

The lively Owen Lane provided a sublime finish for the third goal in the second period and he added his second on 65 minutes.

Malvern went up to second in the table and they host Ewyas Harold on Saturday (2pm).

The first team crashed out of the Smedley Crooke Memorial Charity Cup with a 5-2 home loss to lower-ranked FC Stratford on Wednesday night.

Defending champions Town collapsed in the second half after opening the scoring on 33 minutes when Bryan Craven sent Kyonn Evans through to score.

Stratford levelled on 37 minutes through James Gifford who quickly got his second.

Malvern equalised on 54 minutes when Craven guided in George Hayes' cross.

But Stratford ran away with the game with two goals from Nathan Stoute and Gifford's hat-trick clincher.

Town head to Malmesbury Victoria in Hellenic League Division One West on Saturday (3pm) before going to Bromsgrove Sporting in the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday (7.45pm).
